CHICAGO BEAUTIES ASK MARIO “MAKE ME A MODEL!”
Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas Searching for Fresh Faces to
Walk the Runway at Fashion Focus Chicago 2008

CHICAGO (June 16, 2008) – For 30 years, the legendary Mario Tricoci has helped women across Chicago look and feel their most beautiful. This year, Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, the official hairstyling and color partner of Fashion Focus Chicago, bring beauty into focus with the “Mario, Make me a Model!” campaign to discover Chicago’s next modeling star.

A host of celebrity judges, including beauty and style innovator Mario Tricoci, will select five of the freshest faces to walk the runway in Millennium Park at Fashion Focus Chicago 2008. Each of the finalists will receive a makeover from Mario Tricoci Hair Salons & Day Spas, modeling training by Ford Models and personal training with Equinox Fitness Clubs in preparation for the show. The excitement culminates with a fashion advertorial spread in Chicago magazine with top photographer Matt Ferguson before the final judging on the runway at Fashion Focus Chicago this October. The winner of “Mario, Make me a Model” will receive a five-night trip for two to Mexico’s Riviera Maya through Apple Vacations plus additional prizes from Mario Tricoci and Equinox Fitness Clubs. All of the finalists also will be considered for a modeling contract with Ford Models and a Mario Tricoci trend photo shoot.

“This search is about finding the undiscovered beauty that’s been hiding right in our backyard and giving her a chance to shine,” said Tricoci. “It provides a rare opportunity for aspiring models to receive the training and preparation needed to walk in Chicago’s elite fashion event and of course we will make them beautiful for their debut.” Women and men 18 and older are invited to attend “Mario, Make Me a Model” open calls at select Mario Tricoci hair salon and day spa locations, including July 29 at 10 a.m. in 900 N. Michigan Ave. in Chicago; July 30 at 10 a.m. in Hawthorn Center, Vernon Hills; and July 30 at 5 p.m. in Pheasant Run Resort, St. Charles. No prior modeling experience is required, visit www.mariomakemeamodel.com for more information on campaign rules and regulations and to follow the aspiring models and “Mario, Make me a Model” events.
