CHICAGO – A lineup of celebrity judges, including beauty and style innovator Mario Tricoci, have selected seven finalists for the fifth annual Mario, Make Me a Model competition. Laura Almazan (Homer Glen, IL); Birgit Dalgaard (Chicago); Jenny Lee (Chicago); Caroline Mazurek (Chicago); Christin Nichols (Calumet City, IL); Olivia Simmons (Libertyville, IL); and Mana Winkler (Naples, FL) made the cut after strutting their stuff in a runway competition at the Chicago Cultural Center.

Chosen from nearly 340 hopefuls, the next stop for Alexandra Prado of Lake Forest and Olivia Simmons of Libertyville is the runway where they will strut their stuff in front of a host of celebrity judges — including beauty and style innovator Mario Tricoci — to earn one of only five spots as a finalist in the annual campaign.

Continuing his quest to give aspiring models the tools and platform they need to start their careers, Mario Tricoci today announced the launch of the fifth annual “Mario, Make Me a Model” campaign. The program, which begins with open model calls in July, will culminate with the five finalists competing on the runway at Fashion Focus Chicago in October after months of professional training.
The Mario, Make Me a Model 2011 Fashion Show, held at Millennium Park, featured aspiring Chicago models in an evening of couture and competition.
On Wednesday, October 19, Mario Tricoci teamed up with vitaminwater® and presented InspireDesign, which is the grand finale to the Mario, Make Me a Model contest.
